Tinubu Will Be the Next President in 2023, According to Yoruba Elders
By Adeleye Kunle
The Lagos State chapter of the Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE) has predicted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, will win the 2023 election.
The YCE stated in a communique issued at the conclusion of its quarterly meeting that Tinubu would be the next president in 2023 because he is a political phenomenon.
Despite the country’s worsening insecurity and other challenges, the elders maintained that the APC presidential candidate is capable of leading it.
The Chairman, Francis Akinikawe, the Secretary, Clement Fadipe, the National Treasurer, Aremu Akindele, and the National Welfare Officer, Funmi Jabaru all signed the communique.
The elders also stated that Tinubu is the best candidate for the presidency, emphasizing that the former Governor of Lagos State stands for justice, fairness, and national unity.
YCE stated that the APC presidential candidate would work tirelessly to improve Nigerians’ well-being, as he did in Lagos State by running an inclusive government.
“We believe Tinubu is capable of leading the nation despite challenges of insecurity and a downturn in the economy, and we know he can turn the nation around,” the communique reads.
“We want the world to know that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a political phenomenon.” We are not against any particular group or aspiration; all we are saying is that Asiwaju is the best candidate for the job.
“At this point in time, he is the best man for the job.” Our support for his candidacy stems from his stellar performances and track record of accomplishments as fishers of men with just and equitable management of men and re-distribution of available resources under his watch at all times.”
