UPDATE: Dariye, Nyame, others released from prison

Senator Joshua Dariye, a former governor of Plateau State, Jolly Nyame, a former governor of Taraba State, and two other people have been set free.
The pardon of the inmates was authorized by the Council of State, which is chaired by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retired), on April 14. This decision sparked protests.
Chukwuedo Humphrey, the FCT Spokesperson for the Nigerian Correctional Service, verified their release in a phone chat with our correspondent.
