Ibrahim Shekarau has responded to rumors of his defection and inform Nigerians on what to do next.

Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Ibrahim Shekarau, former Kano State Governor and Senator representing Kano Central, has responded to rumors of his defection. According to TrackNews, Shekarau had concluded plans to leave the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after receiving a’mouthwatering’ offer from the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
According to recent rumors, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has scheduled a meeting to entice Shekaru to join his party.
Shekarau, through his Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Sule Ya’u Sule, said in a statement on Tuesday that no concrete decision had been made about any possible defection.
He urged the public not to jump to conclusions about his political movements until they heard from him.
Shekarau, who currently represents Kano Central in the Senate and is the NNPP’s senatorial candidate, has promised to announce his decision this week.
“Please disregard any news concerning His Excellency Senator Ibrahim Shekarau’s political movement.”
“His Excellency’s clear and detailed position will be made public within the week,” the statement said.
