Abe Returned To APC To Support Tinubu’s Second Term Bid – Nwokocha

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Hon Augustine Nwokocha, has declared that the 2023 governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the state, Senator Magnus Abe, returned to the party to support the second term bid of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
Nwokocha, who made the declaration while speaking with journalists in Port Harcourt, stated that while in SDP, Abe worked for the success of Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election.
He further stated that the APC political family have come together to the unflinching support to the president in 2027.
Nwokocha, who is a former commissioner for Power in the state, said Abe, who represented Rivers South-East senatorial district in the National Assembly, has not fulfilled his ambition of becoming the governor of the state and may want to accomplish it in 2027.

The APC chieftain stated that the former senator will bring to bear his development ideologies geared towards transforming the state, pointing out that Abe has what it takes in terms of experience and useful ideas to take the state to the next level.
He further stated that that considering the position of Chief Nyesom Wike as the FCT minister, automatically qualifies him as the political leader if he eventually crosses over to the APC.
Nwokocha said that nobody has the right to decide whether the seats of the 27 lawmakers who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC were vacant or not except a competent court of law.
