ADC governorship candidate in Abia preaches peace
By Adeleye Kunle
Mr. Sunday Onuoha, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Abia State, has urged the leadership of the 14 Brigade, Ohafia, and their host community in Ohafia Local Government to embrace peace.
Speaking at a press conference in Umuahia, he stressed the importance of peace in resolving the escalating conflict between the Army and the community.
Onuoha urged the state government, the Army, and community leaders to form a committee to investigate the crisis, prevent a recurrence, and propose ways to manage the brigade’s relationship with the community.
He condemned the idea of people taking the law into their own hands and urged all parties to follow the recommendations of community leaders who had intervened to put an end to the unfortunate incident and ensure long-term peace.
