Adeleke Appoints New Director of Osun Service

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke appointed a new Head of Service, Samuel Ayanleye Aina, on Monday.
Olawale Rasheed, the spokesperson for Osun State Governor, announced the appointment in Osogbo, the state capital.
According to Track News, the new Head Of Service will be sworn in on Tuesday (today) at 10:00 a.m.
Before joining the Adeleke administration, Aina earned a BSc in Geography from the University of Ibadan in 1987 and an MSc in 1990.
Following his appointment, Aina would succeed Festus Oyebade Olowogboyega, who served as the Head of Service under Rauf Aregbesola’s administration as well as Gboyega Oyetola’s administration.
Aina was appointed Permanent Secretary in Osun State in 2012 and assigned to the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, and Budget, where he stayed until 2013.
“Following the separation of the former Ministry’s Office of Budget and Economic Development in 2013, he was later deployed to serve as the Permanent Secretary of the new Ministry of Finance,” the statement continued. He worked in the Finance Ministry until 2016.
“Prior to his appointment, Mr Aina was deployed in 2016 as Permanent Secretary in charge of two critical Agencies – the Ministry of Human Resources and Capacity Building and the Public Service Office in the Office of the Head of Service, Osun State – and has been coordinating the affairs of the two Agencies without blemish since 2016.”
“He has served in a variety of capacities both inside and outside of international and national organizations.”
Since taking office on November 27, 2022, Governor Adeleke has made four appointments.
