Adeleke’s victory will lead to PDP gaining more states in Western Nigeria – PDP Jibrin, Chair of the Board of Trustees

By Adeleye Kunle
Senator Walid Jibrin, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Board of Trustees, has stated that Senator Ademola Adeleke’s victory in the recently concluded Osun governorship election will help the party win more states in Western Nigeria.
Walid Jibrin, speaking to journalists, said Adeleke’s victory did not surprise him because he had previously expressed optimism about the PDP’s victory.
“Before the election, I assured the governor-elect that he would win.” I was in Osun during the last campaign, and the turnout for the rally was incredible, and I was convinced that the PDP would win the state.”
“This is only the beginning of our triumph.” What is happening in Osun state now reflects the PDP’s position throughout the country. We as a party have learned our lessons, and the Yoruba are beginning to learn theirs by voting for Adeleke.
We are confident that the PDP will win other states in Western Nigeria by 2023.”
