Africans tricked into believing God is a magician – Howard-Taylor, Liberia’s Vice President

Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor, Vice President of Liberia, stated on Saturday that teachings that portray God as a magician who can perform any task for them without any effort have led Africans astray.
According to Howard-Taylor, a significant psychological problem among Africans is a lack of self-awareness.
The Liberian Vice President, speaking at the convocation lecture of Elizade University in Ilara Mokin, Ondo State, expressed concern about how people who spend all day in church expect to feed their children.
She claimed in her convocation speech, “Africa Renaissance: Key for New Global Leadership Paradigm,” that Africans must continue to act as the continent’s gatekeepers.
Howard-Taylor urged African parents to instill morals and values rooted in African traditions in their children in order to intentionally and persistently shift the mindset of the next generation.
“They must be deliberate and intentional about changing those new leaders’ mindsets in order to plant positive seeds and erase or reduce negative bias.”
“To achieve the African Renaissance, Africa needs visionary leaders, aspirational leaders, exemplary leaders, agile leaders, compassionate leaders, leaders with just leaders, selfless leaders, accountable leaders, and inspirational leaders.”
“It is possible to have all of the leadership characteristics in a single leader, such as Rwandan President Paul Kagame, former South African President Nelson Mandela, and former Ghana President Kwame Nkrumah, among others.”
In honor of the Alara of Ilara-Mokin, Oba Abiodun Aderemi Adefehinti, she also established a N1 million prize for the best female student.
