Again, Banky W Wins PDP Primary For Eti-Osa House of Reps Ticket
Popular entertainer, Bankole Wellington also known as Banky W has defeated his rival, Sam Aiboni, to clinch the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency.
Tracknews reports that Banky W emerged victorious with 24 votes against Sam Aiboni who scored only five votes.
The PDP rerun was scheduled for today after the first primary held last month was cancelled.
Banky W was seen as a favourite to clinch the ticket since he joined the main opposition party earlier this year.
The primary was rescheduled after a dispute between Wellington and Aiboni compelled the party’s leadership to intervene from Abuja.
It was subsequently decided that a rerun should be held.
Wellington won the initial ballot with 27 votes to two against Aiboni, a Lagos businessman.
