Alhaji Modu, the Boko Haram commander, and 27 others were killed in Borno.

Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Troops from the Operation Hadin Kai Air Task Force ATF killed another Boko Haram commander and 27 other terrorists in Borno State.
Alhaji Modu, also known as Bem Bem, and 27 of his gang members were killed in a military airstrike in the State’s Gwoza Local Government Area around the Mandara mountains.
While confirming the report, military sources said the operation was coordinated in response to credible intelligence reports that a large number of Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters had converged in the area in preparation for a new attack in some areas.
According to reports, Alhaji Modu was the mastermind behind the 2014 displacement of Bama town, killing hundreds of innocent citizens before declaring it a Boko Haram caliphate. According to reports, the now-deceased terrorists’ leader was overseen by Ali Ngoshe, a top Boko Haram leader, and the two hibernate inside Mandara mountain caves from which they coordinate attacks in Nigeria, Cameroon, and Niger Republic.
