Alleged Assault: Catholic Priest Accused of Brutally Beating 50-Year-Old Teacher
A disturbing incident has come to light involving Reverend Father Jude Muokwe, a priest of the Roman Catholic Church in Awka Diocese. He is alleged to have violently assaulted Mrs. Ikeorah Maureen, a 50-year-old widow and Primary 6 teacher at Angel’s Primary School in Ifitedunu.
According to reports, the incident occurred on February 12, 2025, during school hours, in front of students and staff. The altercation reportedly stemmed from a disputed contract agreement regarding lesson fees, which the priest had allegedly reneged on.
Mrs. Ikeorah, who had spoken out against the priest’s actions, was allegedly subjected to a brutal beating with a cane, resulting in multiple scars on her body. The incident has left the victim traumatized and the school community in shock.
