Track News reports, some of Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike’s loyalists have begun to defect from his side because of what is said to be an onerous management style.
It was heard that security personnel had shut down several of his allies’ properties when they broke away from his camp.

Sen. Lee Maeba and former Governor Celestine Omehia are among those who are reported to have abandoned Wike, following the purported lead of former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Austin Opara.

Others include Mr. Chinyere Igwe, Jones Ogbonda, a former member of the Rivers Assembly, Ikechi Chinda, a former leader of the PDP in the local government of Port Harcourt, and Ikechi Chinda.

Remember that on Thursday night, operatives of Operation Sting, under Rivers Police Command, allegedly broke into, shut down, and took over the Mega Tools Fuel Station owned by Chinyere, the member representing Port Harcourt Federal Constituency II, just as they did with Jones Ogbonda, a former Rivers Assembly member, at Priscy’s Lounge in Elekahia.

Security personnel cordoned off and took control of the Preray Hotel in Eagle Island, which is owned by Ikechi Chinda, a former PDP chairman of the Port Harcourt City Local Government, and they detained some employees and visitors.

The majority of Wike’s allies, particularly PDP politicians from Rivers, are separating themselves from him, a source told Vanguard. They are also not supporting his actions.

“He is currently at that level. His most recent moves are all pure bravado. I’m not sure how he’ll manage it moving forward.

Lee Maeba, who was also speaking, stated: “The governor was speaking as if he were a superhuman. You become superhuman when you grant yourself so much right. When Atiku Abubakar served as vice president, Austin Opara was the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives.

“They went to the National Economic Council Meeting and the caucus meeting together. Does this imply that Austin Opara, who has known Atiku for more than 20 years, will now start pleading with Wike to see Atiku?

“I first met Atiku in 1992 in Jos while campaigning for the Social Democratic Party, or SDP. When I was elected to the Senate in 2003, we began cooperating. Where was Wike at that moment? Wike was having trouble getting attention while Austin Opara was meeting with Atiku.
