Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Dr. Leo Stan Ekeh, a Nigerian-born tech billionaire and Forbes Best of Africa Leading Tech Icon, has appointed Ashour Corporation FZE as the authorized distributor of Amazon Bell products in West Africa.
Amazon Ring LLC’s top management and Ashour Corporation FZE signed the agreement in Dubai last week.
Ring LLC, a home security and smart home company, is owned by Amazon. Ring creates home security products such as the Ring video doorbell, smart doorbell, and smart cameras, as well as outdoor surveillance cameras. Ring LLC also provides video footage from its cameras and data from its Neighbours App to law enforcement agencies upon request. These low-cost, easy-to-install security products are the global number one choice for homes and offices, requiring little or no maintenance and offering an extended warranty.
Ashour Corporation FZE was founded in 2004 in Dubai. Among other places, the company has been involved in the deployment of major satellite projects in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Libya, Iraq, Pakistan, and Africa. It is the largest iDIRECT USA partner in the UAE, as well as a TerraSat, Norsat, Misshinbo, Actox, and Jubiter Microwave partner.
Mr. Mohammad Hoda, VP Business Development, Middle East and Africa, Ring LLC, confirmed the news and stated that the company was excited to partner with Ashour Corporation and, by extension, TD Africa because they met Amazon’s standards.
“At a time when the world is facing security challenges, we are very excited to partner with a company with global reach to deliver genuine products to West African countries.” To develop our products in Nigeria and other African countries, Ashour Corporation will work with TD Africa. It also sells and services ICT products and services. Ashour will be available in Nigeria, Ghana, and other countries very soon.
