Anambra: Man sets wife Ablaze after a disagreement

A tragic incident has occurred in Anambra, where a man allegedly set his wife ablaze following a disagreement. The wife, who sustained severe burns, has unfortunately died from her injuries.
A short video on social media showed the woman wriggling on the ground with burns and cursing her husband for his actions.
Sources said the man had accused his wife of being wayward and flirting with other men, an allegation that sparked off an argument between them.
TrackNews Media gathered that as the argument became intense, the man quickly poured fuel on her, setting her ablaze.
Meanwhile, police authorities in Anambra have confirmed that the woman who was rushed to the hospital the same day had died on Wednesday morning.
Spokesperson of Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, who confirmed the incident in a statement, said that her husband had also been arrested and that an investigation into the matter has commenced.
Ikenga said: “We are aware of the matter, but it is sad to announce to you that the woman just died this morning while receiving medical attention.
“Her husband has also been arrested, and an investigation has commenced,” he said.
