Anambra: Police Officers Killed As Gunmen Burn Station
A police station in Anambra State has been burnt by unknown gunmen, leading to the death of police officers.
The incident happened a few hours after gunmen attacked Mbieri Police Division in Imo State.
It was disclosed that the gunmen met strong resistance from police officers in the station.
The spokesman of the state police command, Mike Abattam disclosed that the attackers threw explosive devices at the station before shooting sporadically.
According to the Nation, the recent attack happened at Amichi, the home town of former Police Service Commission (PSC) Chairman, Simon Okeke.
An eyewitness disclosed that the Police station was set ablaze around 7.30 pm on Friday.
At the time of filing this report, the number of casualties can not be ascertained.
