Anyim Speaks On Okowa’s Emergence As Atiku’s Running Mate

A former president of the Senate, Anyim Pius Anyim has congratulated the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, on his emergence as the running mate of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.
Recall that the former vice president on Thursday at the national secretariat of the PDP announced Okowa as his running mate in the 2023 general election.
Anyim in a statement released on Friday said the Delta State Governor has contributed to the service of our dear country in various capacities.
He described the Vice Presidential candidate of PDP as a cool-headed and focused leader.
The former president of the Senate expressed confidence that Okowa would complement Atiku in their plan to rescue, unite and rebuild Nigeria.
Anyim in his reaction to Okowa’s emergence as PDP Vice Presidential candidate wrote, “a cool-headed and focused leader who has devoted his time and energy to the service of our dear country in various capacities.
“I do not doubt that Sen. Okowa will effectively complement H.E Atiku Abubakar for the urgent task of rescuing, reuniting and rebuilding our dear country”
Recall that Okowa beat the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike to emerge as Atik’s running mate in the 2023 presidential election.
