APC CANDIDATES HAVE NOTHING TO OFFER~~Moses Cleopas

The Chairman of the Bayelsa State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP), Hon. Moses Cleopas has called on the electorates in the state to shun the lies from the opposition All Progressive Congress, APC, as all they have to offer is empty promises.

Hon. Moses Cleopas emphasized that the APC is a-none existent political party in Bayelsa State, arguing that the party’s leaders have failed to attract any meaningful federal government project to benefit the people of the state, especially the teeming youths.

The chairman who reminded the electorates of the developmental projects and policies attracted to the State by Chief Timi Alaibe and Prof. Seiyefa Brisibe while in office as Director of NDDC and MDGs under the PDP led administration as against the likes of Chief Timipre Sylva and Hon. Heineken Lokpobiri who has attracted no project but hoodlum, thugs, cultist, drug addicts and electoral violence into the State.

Th Chairman during the Bayelsa Central PDP campaign to Odi, Opokuma, Sabagreia Igbedi, Sampou and other communities challenged the former governor of Bayelsa State , Chief Timipre Sylva and minister for State for Agriculture, Hon. Heineken Lokpobiri who claims to be leaders of the APC in the State to make bold to mention any project that is attracted to the State by the APC government.

He noted that all the PDP candidates contesting both the National and House of Assembly elections are campaigning from one community to another on the back of the numerous flagship projects successfully executed by the Governor Seriake Dickson-led PDP administration such as the ongoing three senatorial roads, diagnostics centre, modern boarding schools, ongoing airport project and several others.

Hon. Cleopas challenged the APC and its candidates, which he noted are unknown in the state, to come down to the grassroots and communities in the various LGAs to campaign with visible and accessible projects carried out by the party as against displaying outright falsehood on social media and other platforms to deceive the people.

The Chairman of the State Chapter of the PDP decried the incident of vote buying, harassment, intimidation and violence in recent governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun state and charged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to be alive to its responsibility and mandate of organizing a free and credible election.

On their part, state Secretary of the party, Mr. Godspower Keku appealed to the youths not to be used as political thugs, hijacking ballot boxes and causing violence and mayhem during and after the general elections, while calling on the security agencies especially the Police to imbibe professionalism in carrying out its activities.
