APC Chieftains Present at Tinubu’s Meeting With Labour Leaders

Some APC leaders attended an interactive session between the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Labour leaders.
According to Track News, Tinubu met with the leaders of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) on Monday at a town hall meeting held at the Chida Hotel Conference Centre in Abuja.

The NLC President, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, and his TUC counterpart, Comrade Festus Osifo led the two labour groups in the country to the interactive session.

Tinubu made an overture to Organised Labour to pitch his tent with him ahead of the 2023 presidential election, and the APC leaders listened intently.

Some of the APC leaders who attended the town hall meeting are listed below.

Senator Kashim Shettima, Tinubu’s running mate; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; Simon Lalong, Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council and Governor of Plateau State; James Faleke, Secretary of the APC Campaign Council; and Governors Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi, Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa, and Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq of Kwara.

Meanwhile, Tinubu is scheduled to attend a town hall meeting with party stakeholders in Cross River State tomorrow. According to Track News, the former Governor of Lagos State is set to arrive tomorrow to meet with party stakeholders in the South-South.

Dr Julius Okputu, the APC Deputy Director, Presidential Campaign Council South-South and Chairman of the Media and Publicity Local Organising Committee, confirmed Tinubu’s scheduled meeting with party chieftains in a statement to newsmen on Monday.

Okputu hailed Tinubu’s achievements as a Governor in Lagos state, saying that the presidential hopeful has set a standard for good governance.
