APC ranks swell as popular NNPP chieftain Decamp to the APC
Mohammed Kabiru Wakili, a former Nasarawa West Senatorial candidate under the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has officially shifted allegiance to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
A ceremonial reception at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday marked the transition.
Led by the chairman and the entire APC Executive Committee from Keffi Local Government, Wakili was warmly received by the APC National Legal Adviser, Professor Abdul Karim Abubakar Kana.
Expressing gratitude for Wakili’s return to the APC fold, Kana emphasized the party’s focus on expansion and strength through new memberships.
Addressing the gathering, Kana reiterated the APC’s commitment to a robust and inclusive party, aligning with the current leadership’s goal of fostering a more vibrant political organization.
He also acknowledged and assured the resolution of grievances the Keffi Local Government APC executive committee brought forth.
Notably, Wakili expressed unwavering confidence in the APC’s trajectory under the leadership of Abdullahi Umaru Ganduje.
His words:
“We thank Almighty Allah for uniting the APC under the leadership of our father, His Excellency Dr. Umar Abdullahi Ganduje. Anyone who saw what he did recently knows that APC is actively working.
“By the grace of Almighty Allah, in the 2027 elections, APC will emerge as the best political party in Nigeria, facing challenges from other parties, mergers, or whatever else may come. APC stands as a united party in the whole of West Africa.
“Recall, 17 to 20 years ago, there was a powerful party called PDP. Now, it is APC’s turn to lead. With these elements in place, we call on every politician to embrace peace because APC, despite inheriting many problems, is working towards progress.
“The emergence of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the president is crucial. Without APC, the Nigerian economy would have been in a dire state.
