Argentina, as Messi predicted, will win the World Cup in Qatar in 2022
Argentina captain Lionel Messi has stated that his country knew it would win the World Cup final in 2022.
The 35-year-old led the Albiceleste to their third world title on Sunday.
They won on penalties following a thrilling 3-3 tie in extra time.
Messi scored twice in what will go down as the greatest World Cup final in modern history.
“All right, let’s get started!” “We are world champions,” Messi told the Spanish newspaper Sport after the game.
“It’s incredible that it happened in this manner,” he added.
“I was desperate for it. I had a feeling God would give it to me, and it would be this. Now comes the exciting part.
