As Aspirant Vows To Challenge APC
An aspirant for the House of Representatives in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Yakubu Adamu has vowed to challenge the decision of the party National Working Committee (NWC) to nominate another candidate for the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency.
Adamu, who claimed to have won the party’s primary, said the party erred by not going by the result and not consulting other aspirants before reaching the decision to nominate the party’s flag bearer for the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency.
Addressing newsmen in Abuja yesterday, the aspirant described it as grave injustice to party faithful in the FCT, adding, “We will contest the decision of the National Working Committee of the party by bringing on board someone that is barely one month in the party and knowing full well the guidelines of the primaries and constitution of the party and that he has not sought for a waiver, but the party went ahead to give him the ticket to be the flag bearer of the party.”
He continued: “This is a party that preaches fairness and justice, this injustice and impunity will not be allowed to continue definitely as a group we have decided to work for the party but we are going to challenge the position of the party by taking someone who has not contributed to the development of the party,
“I believe that I am the winner of the primary and I have decided to assemble my coordinators in the wards and some of my political associates and inform them of my decision that we are going ahead to court to challenge the outcome of the result of the primary.”
