AS FAR Pip Bayelsa Queens To The Final
AS FAR of Morocco, have qualified for the final of the second edition of the CAF Women Champions League after edging Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens 1-0 on Wednesday.
The only goal of the game was scored by Ibtissam Jraïdi in the 27th minute, which was enough to earn the host country a hard fought win.
Bayelsa Queens Technical Adviser, Domo Okara said it was a good game his team played, but they were unlucky not to score and that he was disappointed with the result so also his girls were disappointed.
Domo Okara said the focus of the Prosperity Girls now is on the third place match on Saturday against Simba Queens FC of Tanzania, who lost 0-1 to Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies in the first semi-final.
Bayelsa Queens FC with this loss is their second of the tournament after losing 1-2 to Mamelodi Sundowns in their Group B opener.
With this win AS FAR will take on defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns in the final on Sunday.
