Asanakpo Doffs His Hat For Senator Douye Diri On The Victory Of Bayelsa United

The newly re-appointed Chairman of Bayelsa State Volunteers, Hon. Oyinkuro Lucky Asanakpo, has congratulated His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri on the victory of Bayelsa United football team over their Equatorial Guinean counterparts.
The home boys who were in their elements thrashed the visitors 4 goals to 2. It was quite an enthralling moment as our sports loving governor was also on hand to cheer up the Bayelsa lads as they cruise home to victory.
In a press statement issued by the chairman, he expressed his gratitude to God and to the Governor for his commitment and unflinching supports for sports development in the state since his assumption of office.
He went further to assert that, the recent chain of victories did not come as a surprise given the fact that the Governor was once a commissioner of sports in the state, therefore he understands the peculiar challenges of athletes.
Hon Asanakpo has equally congratulated the sports commissioner, champion, Daniel Igali, the team manager and members of the team for their consistency and team spirit which has made it possible to break every obstacle and barriers.
He prays that the financial gift spread on them and the coaster bus should serve as incentives especially in the light of a dwindling economy as a motivation to strive for excellence and more laurels.
The team must be hungry for more successes in the future instead of being contended with their achievers so far, he charged the team.
