ASP Mariam Yusuf Receives 2021 Swift Reporters Proficient PRO Award
The FCT Police Command PRO, ASP Mariam Yusuf has been honoured as the 2021 Swift Reporters Proficient Public Relations Officer.
The award was presented to ASP Mariam Yusuf on Tuesday, 4th May, 2021 at the FCT Police Command amidst Senior officers of the Command.
In his remarks, the Publisher of Swift Reporters, Adewole Kehinde said the award is held to recognize the PPRO immense contribution to the media and the FCT Command as a whole.
“ASP Mariam Yusuf exhibits such qualities that will not only help the media in achieving their goals, but also bring Glory of success to the FCT Police Command, Adewole said.
He further said that, “Today, we have gathered here not just to celebrate the achievements of our proficient PPRO, but also to give due regard to her values and morals which she demonstrate, like discipline, compassion and zeal for Police Personnel.
“Awards are a way to encourage good work. This is the reason why Swift Reporters organizes award ceremony every year to encourage Public Relations Officers across Nigeria. So that is why I am here to present the 2021 Swift Reporters Most Proficient PRO Award to ASP Mariam Yusuf.
Adewole reiterated that since her appointment as the FCT Police Command PRO, ASP Mariam Yusuf has been so responsive, helpful and friendly to every enquiry.
“All her press releases and statement are most creative, flawless, concise and accurate. She is never afraid to speak the truth when you call or meet her. Above all, she has been able to withstand criticism and accept the decisions of journalists without taking offense.
“She is never discouraged by critiques and rejection; instead, she embraces and learns from them.
Adewole used the occasion to thanked the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Bala Ciroma for taking this Command to new heights and creating a diverse path for the Police Officers and Personnel to follow.
He also extend his special thanks to all the Police Officers and Personnel who witnessed the award presentation.
In her remarks, ASP Mariam Yusuf thanked the Swift Reporters management for finding her worthy of the honour and promised to sustain the proficiency.
She dedicated the award to the entire Police officers and personnel of the Command.
