At the London meeting yesterday, G-5 governors agreed to work for southern presidency- PDP Source

There are strong indications, according to news that was reported by the Punch Newspaper online yesterday morning, that the five disgruntled governors of the Peoples Democratic Party will support a presidential candidate from the Southern region and will not support Alhaji Atiku Abubakar again because Senator Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s national chairman, did not resign from his position.
According to the Punch, the five governors will now choose between Mr. Peter Obi, a candidate for the Labour Party, and Chief Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a candidate for the All Progressives Congress, APC.
According to a source close to the G-5 governors who spoke to a Punch reporter, justice and fairness necessitate that the South-East geopolitical region produce the nation’s next president.
He claimed, “At the G-5 governors’ meeting in London yesterday, they decided to support a candidate from the south because Atiku had failed to convince Ayu to resign.” NAN report.
