Atiku mocks APC Presidential Candidate Bola Tinubu for being mentally unstable for an hour-long interview

By Adeleye Kunle
Paul Ibe, the media adviser to Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, has criticized the Bola Tinubu Campaign Organization for some of the issues raised, TrackNews reports.
TrackNews previously reported that the Tinubu Campaign Organisation was stunned by the many lies and ignorance displayed by the PDP’s presidential candidate during an interview.
When the former vice president decided to pursue other business interests as a young Custom Officer, the organization accused him of violating provisions of the 1999 constitution.
In a statement sent to TrackNews Atiku’s aide expressed amusement at what he called the Tinubu Campaign Organisation’s knee-jerk reaction to the “wave-making interview granted by Waziri Atiku Abubakar to Arise TV.”
Ibe mocked Bola Tinubu, claiming that the former governor has refused to do any lengthy interviews for obvious reasons.
He stated that Nigerians have seen him speak in public and can understand why he is mortified to grant any lengthy interview.
“The Tinubu campaign exposed its gross desperation and vacuousness by citing provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) 1999, to declare Waziri Atiku Abubakar’s stance on engaging in a side business while he was a young custom officer as a violation of the law,” said Atiku’s aide. It is important to inform the Tinubu campaign organization that Nigeria is not governed by a military regime and that our constitutions are not retroactive.
“Once again, the Tinubu campaign demonstrated either dishonesty or a lack of attention to detail by claiming that Atiku Abubakar stated that oil contributed 20% of Nigeria’s GDP. That is a fabrication. According to the Waziri, “oil accounts for only about 20 percent of our GDP.”
“The Waziri’s use of the word possibly was in response to the various figures provided. While the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics reports a figure close to 10%, other multilateral organizations report a much higher figure of 15-20%. So, while the jury is still out, it is reasonable to consider oil and gas contributions as a possibility. However, Waziri Atiku Abubakar mentioned both the PDP and the APC during the interview and did not forget to mention his own party.
“It appears that the Tinubu campaign organization (can a disorganized body be called an organization?) is unfamiliar with the concepts of rotation of power and micro zoning. As a result, we will gladly educate them. The term “rotation of power” refers to a constitutional provision that divides power between the North and South. Micro-zoning is a non-constitutional concept in which power is divided not between North and South, but between geopolitical zones. We hope that this cures the authors of that document’s political illiteracy.
“In addition, the rude response accuses Waziri Atiku Abubakar of having “limited education.” Anglia Ruskin University awarded Atiku Abubakar a Masters degree. We challenge any of the current Presidential candidates to present a degree of equal or greater value. Furthermore, his university attendance is a matter of documented record. Can we say the same about other people?
“On President Lincoln, we are afraid the Tinubu campaign disorganization is the poor student of history.” Yes, Lincoln did run for President twice, with his name on the ballot both times. But he ran before and was unsuccessful in getting his name on the ballot.”
He challenged Bola Tinubu to an hour-long interview, as Atiku did, promising to meet with the former Lagos State Governor if he is as articulate and mentally present as the PDP candidate.
“Until then, we’ll just remind him and his yes men that they aren’t in a position to point fingers when they haven’t sat in the hot seat,” Atiku’s aide said.
