Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and his campaign team for the February 16 Presidential election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, will today storm Benin City, the Edo State capital for its campaign. The party’s Publicity Secretary in the state, Chris Nehikhare, told Saturday Telegraph that all machinery have been put in place for the campaign. He said the good people of the state were ready in their millions to welcome Atiku and his team to the state. He maintained that his visit will avail him the opportunity to unfold his election manifestoes to the people and tell them how he intends to use his wealth of experience to get Nigeria working again.

He said: “We are very happy that Atiku Abubakar and his campaign team will be coming to Edo State today. The good people of this state are fully ready to receive him and his team. You know the importance of Edo State, and I want to tell you that Edo State is for PDP. We did it before, we are going to do it again for our great party. “His coming will give him the opportunity to tell the good people of this state how he intends to use his business and administrative experiences to make Nigeria work again, because of the present political, economic, social, problems that are currently sweeping across the country. “Nigeria needs people with great minds to put things in order. You will agree with me that the APC- led Federal Government by President Muhammadu Buhari has failed us in all ramifications of governance.

“This is a government of deceit and I don’t think Nigerians want to be deceived the second time. Atiku and his team of intelligentsias are coming on board to bring back Nigeria’s lost glory.” Atiku will be accompanied by his vice presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, Senate President Bukola Saraki, Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus, Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, and other national party leaders.
