Atiku sent Lamido, Aliyu, and other attack dogs after me in 2023 – Wike

By Adeleye Kunle
Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has accused Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar of sending thugs to attack him.
Wike stated this to reporters at the Port Harcourt International Airport on Friday, shortly after returning from Spain.
Former presidential aspirant wondered why Sule Lamido, Babangida Aliyu, and Maina Waziri, despite calling for peace in the party, abused him in their statements.
Wike promised to respond to all of Atiku’s and ‘his attack dogs’ statements.
He went on to say that he has been minding his own business and looking for a way forward for his state, but that people continue to attack him.
“Look at his attack dogs, Sule Lamido, Babangida Aliyu, and Maina Waziri; look at the statements they issued,” Wike said. Take a look at the abuse they heaped on me.
“It is critical for me as a person, for my future, and for those around me to say that this is not fair.” I will respond to Atiku Abubakar’s and his attack dogs’ statements line by line.
“No one who loves me will tell me not to react.” If a presidential candidate believes he wants to win an election and someone who contested fiercely with him has never raised any issues, just kept quiet minding my own business to see how my state can move forward; but his people come up to attack me every day. It’s completely unjust.”
