Atiku tipped to win northwest by landslide in presidential election
– North West Youth Mobilisation Forum for Atiku 2019 says Atiku will get a landslide victory in the region
– The group’s leader Shuaibu says the electorates in the region would identify with the former vice president because the current administration has not treated them well
– Shuaibu says the group will ensure huge victory for Atiku and other candidates of the PDP in the election
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar has been tipped to win the northwest zone of the country by a landslide.
Daily Trust reports that Atiku’s victory was predicted by a group North West Youth Mobilisation Forum for Atiku 2019.
The group promised to deliver landslide wins for Atiku Abubakar and other PDP candidates in the region at the polls which is just about six weeks away.
The group made the promise at its 7th year anniversary in Kano.
The Forum’s president Abubakar Shuaibu, claimed that convincing the electorate in the region to vote for Atiku would be easy because the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration had dragged the region into state of poverty and insecurity.
The Forum’s claims however run contrary to what a state governor of the PDP, who warned that his party might lose the 2019 presidential election, has to say.
TRACK NEWS had reported that the governor said if the party does not address some issues drawing back its campaign for the poll, it would suffer defeat.
The governor, who asked not to be named said that preparations of the PDP for the presidential election is riddled with deep frustrations.
He said his concerns for the party were also shared by other party leaders across the country, who were worried about the party’s shoddy preparations for the poll.
