Ayorinde: Reasons why Nigeria needs a decisive president in 2023.
Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Don’t incite violence with your words or actions. Kola -Daisi informs politicians
Chief Bolaji Ayorinde, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has stated that Nigeria needs a decisive president in 2023 to hit the ground running and address the country’s challenges.
Ayorinde told reporters at his home in Jericho, Ibadan, that it was critical to elect a president who would do things differently.
He expressed concern that the next president would have to wait six months before appointing his cabinet.
In another development, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, the Accord Party (AP) candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District in the 2023 elections, has urged politicians campaigning for elections not to incite violence with their words and actions, saying no life is worth losing because of elections.
Kola-Daisi issued the charge over the weekend while speaking with journalists in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State. As a result, he urged politicians to serve as role models for the next generation.
“We should be role models,” he said. We must ensure that we present ourselves in the best possible light. We will be doing the children a great disservice if we model behavior that they cannot replicate.
“Our society is small, and we all know each other.” It is critical that we respect one another. At any given time, only one person can win.
“We should not incite with our words or actions.”
“No life is worth losing or being injured for such a cause.”
“If it truly is about service and the people of the state, everyone should exercise caution.” Not only in our words, but also in our deeds. We must not incite violence in any way.”
