Bandits in large number, late night on Wednesday, stormed the Bakiyawa community in Batagarawa Local Government Area, Katsina State and threw the residents into a panic, killing one of the locals and kidnapping a yet-to-be-ascertained number of others in the process.
Four of the victims wounded in the attack by the terrorists are said to be receiving treatment at the Katsina Teaching hospital, a resident of the community who spoke to newsmen noted.
According to a reliable source, the hoodlums operated freely for close to three hours breaking into shops and homes, looting valuable items while shooting sporadically.

Tukur Makeri, who sells agricultural products in the community was killed by the terrorists and was buried earlier today (Thursday). The four other persons injured in the attack have been taken to Katsina Teaching Hospital for treatment. Many animals were also rustled by the terrorists,” the source stated
