Barr. John Sambo Eulogise his late Father
The Director of Demestic Affairs to the Bayelsa state government, Barr John Sambo has eulogized his late father Warrant Officer, Opokuma Sambo Ikisa (Retd) , on his second year death anniversary.
The illustrious son of the Deceased, Barr John Sambo who is a shining example and role model to Bayelsan youths expressed that, The first day without his father felt like a year, and this two years without him feels like a century. Yet in his memory, he spoke to him only yesterday.
From an early age, Barr Sambo noted that his father instilled in him the value of discipline. He believed that a disciplined life was the foundation for achieving one’s goals and living with integrity. His expectations were high, but his guidance was always firm and fair. Through his example, He learned the importance of hard work, perseverance, and accountability.

Still showering ecomiuns on his Father, The Director of Demestic Affairs affirms that, alongside his Late Fathers strictness, he was a man of immense love expressed through words, but through his actions and the sacrifices he made for his family. He taught his children that love is about being present, offering support, and standing by your loved ones through thick and thin. His love provided a strong and steady foundation upon which I have been sharpened as a person.
For late Warrant officer Opokuma Sambo Ikisa (Retd) Justice was a core value, He believed in fairness and stood up for what was right, no matter the cost. Whether it was advocating for a colleague, defending a friend, or teaching his children the importance of honesty and integrity, he was unwavering in his commitment to justice. He showed those who crossed path with him that true strength lies in standing up for those who cannot stand up for themselves and in always striving to do the right thing.
For Barr John Sambo One of his most cherished memories is of the evenings he spent discussing life’s big questions not forgetting his father’s wisdom and insight as they were profound, and his ability to listen and provide thoughtful guidance was unparalleled. These conversations taught him to seek truth in all things and to approach life with a sense of curiosity and openness.
