Bashir Ahmad Gets New Appointment From Buhari

Mohammed Oluwatimileyin Taoheed reports,
President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Bashir Ahmad as his Special Assistant on Digital Communications, the Track News Nigeria has learnt.
This new appointment which will take effect immediately was announced in a letter dated July 20, 2023 and addressed to Ahmad by Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.
Recall that Ahmad was Personal Assistant on New Media to the President before resigning his appointment to contest for the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) for Gaya, Ajingi, Albasu Federal Constituency in the year.
The presidential media aide lost his bid to secure the ticket of the All Progressives Congress at the primary for Gaya, Ajingi, Albasu Federal Constituency.
Track News Nigeria gathered that Ahmad has been at wrath at the way and manner the party’s primary was conducted, claiming that it was fraught with fraud.
The presidential social media manager is believed to be the only presidential aide ‘recalled’ by the president since the conclusion of the APC primaries.
Our Correspondent says all the cabinet ministers and presidential aides except Ahmad, who resigned to partake in the APC primaries but failed to secure the party tickets had since been replaced by the President.
