Basketmouth tells fans after his marriage ends,’respect our privacy.’

After ending his 12-year marriage to Elsie, Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha, better known by his stage name Basketmouth, has asked his fans to respect their privacy.

On Thursday, the 44-year-old comedian announced the dissolution of his marriage to Elsie in a Facebook post.

Janelle, Jason, and Maya Okpocha are the couple’s three children from their marriage in 2010.

Basketmouth stated that despite the end of their marriage, he and his wife will continue to care for their beautiful children with all care, love, and guidance.

“As much as it pains me to bring my personal life into the public eye, this is an unavoidable situation,” he wrote.

“After much thought, my wife and I have decided to divorce.

“As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love guidance and support they need.

“We humbly ask that you respect our privacy as we navigate through these times.

“I appreciate it.”

Remember that Paul Okoye’s marriage was recently dissolved by a court following a divorce case filed by his wife, Anita.
