Bauchi Gov signs N42bn 2020 supplementary budget

TRACKING____Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has signed a supplementary appropriation bill of N42.8bn for the 2020 fiscal year.
The appropriation bill is made up of a Capital Expenditure of over N36.8bn and a Recurrent Expenditure of N6bn.
Speaking while signing the bill into law at the Government House in the capital, the governor said the state is determined to achieve some of its goals despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking on funding of the budget, Mohammed explained that his administration would rely on its internally generated revenue to borrow from the banks as against the usual practice of relying on the federal government allocations.
According to him, the state’s Internal Generated Revenue, has risen by 300 per cent since he assumed office.
