Bauchi’ll continue to promote civil service – Dep gov-elect Jatau

Bauchi State deputy governor-elect, Mohammed Auwal Jatau, has applauded Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed on the 2022 Outstanding Pro-Labour Governor award conferred on him by the Trade Union Congress (TUC).
Jatau, who received the award on behalf of Gov Mohammed in Abuja, said the governor deserved such honour considering his outstanding contributions and support towards civil service development, not only in Bauchi State but in Nigeria at large.
According to him, the governor has provided a conducive environment for the state civil servants to discharge their duties effectively, through various reforms. He also totally renovated the state secretariat and has been consistently paying workers’ salaries and pensions promptly during his first term in office.
Jatau, a member of the House of Representatives, who contested the March 18 governorship election as Mohammed’s running mate, appreciated the national leadership of the TUC for the award and assured that the governor would continue to promote decent civil service agenda for the overall development of the state.
“We are not surprised with this award because our governor as a retired Director in the Federal Civil Service has considered Bauchi State Civil Service as his top priority by providing all the necessary support to the system which will go a long way in ensuring effective implementation of government’s policies and programmes,” Jatau said
