Bayelsa Comrade Family (BCF) Crisis Resolution Meeting Concludes with Key Decisions

A three-day meeting of the founding members and critical stakeholders of the Bayelsa Comrade Family (BCF) concluded in Yenagoa with significant resolutions aimed at resolving the factional leadership crisis plaguing the organization.

The meetings, held from the 25th to the 29th of February, 2024, focused on finding lasting solutions to the deep-rooted factionalization threatening the unity of the BCF.

In a bid to address the crisis, the following key decisions were unanimously reached:

Dissolution of Factions: The two existing factions within the BCF have been dissolved in the interest of peace and harmony within the organization.

Condemnation of Unauthorized Registration: The meeting condemned the purported incorporation of the BCF with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) by one faction without the knowledge and consent of founding members and critical stakeholders.

Legal Action: A four-man legal team has been constituted to investigate the alleged registration of the BCF with the CAC and take necessary legal steps to restore the organization’s image.

Electoral Committee Formation: Within the next two weeks, founding members and critical leaders of the BCF will collaborate with other respected leaders from various local government areas to select an eight-man electoral committee. This committee will oversee the selection of new leadership within one month.

Decisive Action Against Misuse of BCF Name: Founding members and critical stakeholders have pledged to take more decisive actions to prevent the misuse of the BCF’s name for personal gains and political purposes.

Appeal for Support: An appeal has been made to all Bayelsans to support the founding members in the process of sanitizing the BCF and restoring its integrity.

Cease Dealings with Impostors: Government agencies, prominent individuals, security agencies, and the media have been urged to cease dealings with any individual or group claiming to be Executive Committee members of the BCF.

The meeting was attended by prominent leaders and stakeholders of the BCF, including Hon. (Barr.) Tare Porri, Comr. ThankGod Singer, Hon. (Barr.) George Alabh Turnah, Barr. (Comr.) Amangala M. Joshua, and others.
