Bayelsa Comrade Family President Elect, Hails Gov. Diri on Prompt Response to Flood.
The Bayelsa State Comrade Family President-elect, Comrade Prince Oweibi and members of his executive body granted a press conference during which he appreciated his Excellency, the Governor of Bayelsa State, Sen. Douye Diri for standing by Bayelsans in this trying time where the ravaging flood displaced 97% of Bayelsans.
He admonished the leadership gesture of the Governor in handling the flood disaster and urged all leaders and cooperate bodies to emulate his Excellency, Governor Douye Diri’s leadership style.
Comrade Oweibi also appreciated other notable donors, His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Emmanuel Udom, Governor of Akwa Ibom State, and other Bayelsans for their support towards the victims of the flood.
The President-elect spelled out that, the Comrade family is a non-governmental body with the sole mandate of seeing young Bayelsans gainfully employed and learning Trade through support from the government or co-operate bodies and pledged to serve the comrade family diligently and work closely with the office of the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Trade Union Congress, Nigerian Labour Congress, and other civil organization across the State.
Comrade Oweibi equally appreciated Hon. Tari Bori Board of Trustee of the Bayelsa Comrade family, the outgoing President, Senior Comrade Robert Igali, John Sambo, the director of domestic affairs to the Bayelsa State Governor, Hon. Lucky Alex Youbogha, Director of Transport and general duties Government House, Barrister Nelson Abali, Comrade family Chairman, constitution drafting committee for their commitment and support for an inclusive election to be held and to see the family succeed and further appealed to all leaders across board to imbibe the spirit of serving their subordinates and jettison the concept of serving self when saddled with public trust.
The newly elected executive of the comrade family made new nominees of the BOT, created the office of the Director of Physically challenged persons in the person of Comrade Ebidoumene Miebaike, and made some appointments to the office of the President-elect to be inaugurated alongside the new exco body on December 20th, 2022.
Conclusively, Comrade Oweibi sympathized with Bayelsans and members of the comrade family affected by the flood and thanked Bayelsans for being resolute during this period when a lot of Bayelsans are facing the devastation of the flooding.
