Bayelsa flood: We have delivered on our promise Azikel groups tackles Diri’s aid

~~~vows not to join issues with the commissioner.
Azikel groups yesterday, came hard on the Hon. Commissioner for Environment and Chairman, Flood Mitigation Committee of Bayelsa state over his comments on the relief materials supplied to Bayelsa state by Dr Eruani Azupapu Godbless CFR and Azikel groups
Hon commissioner assertion was followed by press statement made available in Yenagoa by Azikel groups Media, the statement reads, “The president of Azikel groups Dr Eruani Azupapu Godbless CFR, said commissioner’s statement is a clear delusional, callous, reckless, insensitive and irresponsible.
The Azikel groups Media was reacting to a statement credited Mr. Iselema Gbaranbiri wherein he posited that the state government received relief materials worth 57.7 million from the President of Azikel Group as against the earlier promise made by the Group President, Dr Eruani Godbless Azibapu CFR of providing relief materials worth N350 million naira to mitigate and provide succour to Bayelsans ravaged by the monstrous flood.
Azikel groups Media stated that the President, Dr Eruani Godbless Azibapu CFR and Azikel Groups will not join issues with the Hon.Commissioner.
However, they stated how pertinent it is to point out that the President and Azikel Group did not only fulfil it’s solemn pledge of donating goods and relief materials worth N350 million naira but it surpassed it’s expected voluntary financial commitment of procuring these relief materials and its attendant logistic challenges; which also attracted huge financial commitment.
Track News reporter gathered that, immediately after the Group President visited the Governor of Bayelsa State, he purchased Mattresses which were urgently needed and was intended to be distributed to the various Internally Displaced Persons ( IDP) camps and recently the Group President handed over 40, 000 mini rice bags to the government and people of Bayelsa State.
Dr Eruani Azupapu Godbless CFR the president Azikel groups scowl on the uncharitable comment of Hon. Commissioner for Environment and Chairman, Flood Mitigation Committee who wilfully and wrongly asserted that Dr. Eruani Godbless Azibapu and Azikel Group only provided relief materials worth N57. 7 million naira.
Letting the cat out of the bag, the groups president factually stated that the relief materials expenses exceeded N460 million naira.
Furthermore, the Azikel groups Media said that the intention of the clarification was not to join issues with the Hon. Commissioner for Environment and Chairman, Flood Mitigation Committee, Mr. Iselema Gbaranbiri but to set the records straight for Bayelsans and posterity.
The Group President is not interested in engaging in unnecessary media cross – firec or needless grandstanding with any group, individual or institutions of government the groups Media said.
Finally, Azikel groups Media reiterated the vision of the renowned philanthropist and youngest CFR in the federation, to include his pursuit for an aggressive, calculated and a silent industrial revolution of Bayelsa State and his drive and passion for more Bayelsans to be wealth creators. They said that the group President is deeply committed to doing more to alleviate the plight and to provide succour to Bayelsans, now and even in the future.
