Bayelsa State Commissioner For Works ESV Teibowei Warns Roadside Farmers To Desist.
YENAGOA_______Bayelsa state Commissioner for works ESV Moses Teibowei has warned farmers who cultivates along embankments of right of way of major roads in Yenagoa, the capital city of Bayelsa state.
ESV Moses Teibowei seriously frowns at the ugly trend which is a threat to the durability of the road and demeaning the aesthetics of the road infrastructures built by the prosperity government of governor Douye Diri.
The statement signed by the hard working commissioner reads.
“It has come to the notice of the Bayelsa State Government that people are planting on the median and embankments of right of way of major roads such as the Glory Drive Phase 2, Igbogene/AIT Outer Ring Road and others, thereby causing erosion and harm to the roads.
By this notice, those who planted crops on the embankments of these major roads are hereby given a 7-day ultimatum to remove their crops.
Failure to do that, the government will remove or destroy the crops for the good of the roads.”
This warning is a testament of the genuine intentions of the Governor Douye Diri led administration to not only embark on legacy projects but ensure it serves Bayelsans.
