Bayelsa: Supreme Court Verdict’s Review Is A Mere Academic Exercise- Ebilade.
TRACKING______The Director General of the “Diri/ Lawrence Youth Network”, Comr. Ebilade Ekerefe has admonished Bayelsans not to be perturbed by the forthcoming review of the Supreme Court verdict on the Bayelsa State Governorship election, slated for Wednesday.
The immediate past Special Adviser on youths mobilisation, Ebilade in an interview with news men in Yenagoa on Monday in Yenagoa, stressed that the review will end up as a “mere academic exercise”.
“Bayelsans should not be perturbed over the desperate quest of the APC to having the Supreme Court through a “review process”upturn the judgement which gave our candidates, Sen. Douye Diri and Sen. Lawrence Ewrudjakpo victories in the same apex court.
“This is definitely going to be a mere academic exercise because the facts on ground is too substantiative for the Supreme court to act otherwise.” Ebilade stated.
He reiterated that God has settled the case of Bayelsa Governorship tussle, and that Sen. Douye Diri and Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo are the Governor and Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State respectively, for the next four years.
“Let me reiterate that God has decided on this matter through the court.” Ebilade stated.
He called on members of the opposition to accept defeat and collaborate with the Douye Diri led administration to move Bayelsa State forward.
“APC should accept their fate and join hands with Sen. Douye Diri to move the state forward.”
