Before entering politics, Tinubu was already wealthy, claims Dele Alake

Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Dele Alake, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council’s Director of Strategic Communication, has defended the source of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s fortune, claiming he was aware of Tinubu’s wealth before to entering politics.
Alake stated that Tinubu has been trading in stocks over the years to increase his riches when he made this claim during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.
He explained that Tinubu’s fortune came from his investment in blue-chip firms’ stocks.
Alake said, “He made his money well before he got into office. I believe what is essential to Nigerians, actually, is to know that this man was not a poor before he came. I think what is important to Nigerians, really, is to know that this man was not a pauper before he came into office, like some others.”
Alake, however did not disclose whether or not Tinubu owns or has investments in any company in Nigeria.
What does it concern me that he runs a firm in Nigeria, he asked? Why should I care about the businesses you own if you were to become Bola Ahmed Tinubu tomorrow if it can’t be shown that you stole money from your state or the business you work for?
“It is not established, and you have not been charged in any legal proceeding. Why should I be worrying about this right now?
It is a side issue and, as I often say, appealing to the whims and caprices of individuals who are envious, exceedingly jealous, and afflicted with OCH, obsessive-compulsive hatred, of Asiwaju.
