Benue House of Assembly Clerk arrested for alleged embezzlement of over N220m public Funds
TRACKING>EFCC)The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission recently apprehended the Clerk of the Benue State House of Assembly, Torese Agena for alleged
embezzlement of funds.
Mr Agena was investigated and found wanting for alleged fraud, stealing misappropriation and embezzlement of public funds to the tune of over N220 million.
EFCC also narrated that the suspect is currently in detention on a valid remand warrant obtained from the Federal High Court, Makurdi.
The anti-graft body said family members of the suspect who wanted their family head released came to the EFCC zonal office and attacked its officials.
The EFCC, also alleged that the Suspect’s wife and two of his female children masterminded and carried out an attack on a few policemen attached to the office.
