Rev Fr. Hyacinth Alia is the APC’s governorship candidate in Benue State.

Following Alia’s election, the deputy governorship seat was zoned to the Benue South Senatorial District, also known as Zone C.

In order to present Alia with a formidable running mate, the party’s leadership had previously narrowed the field to just three candidates.

The party said in a statement issued jointly by Chief Audu Ogbeh, APC Benue South Leader, and Chief John Ochoga, Chairman, Zone C Elders’ Forum, that the trio was chosen after a series of meetings and consultations.
