Benue: Suspected herdsmen attack Makurdi, kill residents

Armed men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen wreaking havoc across Benue State have attacked the Adaka community in the state’s Makurdi Local Government Area once more.
The event was captured on video.
A resident of the community, identified as Iorkohol Unande, who survived the incident, told our correspondent that the attack was unprovoked.
According to him, the attackers fired sporadically, injuring several people in the community, and three dead bodies were discovered shortly after the killer herdsmen fled unchallenged.
Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, Catherine Anene, proved abortive as of press time.
According to the Benue State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, over 2 million people are currently seeking refuge in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps as a result of Fulani herdsmen attacks.
