BET Awards: Burna Boy named ‘Best International Act’ for record fourth time

Famous Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy, snagged the “Best International Act” award at the 2023 BET Awards held on Sunday night in Los Angeles, United States of America.
The ‘Last Last’ crooner defeated French singer, Aya Nakamura, British superstars, Ella Mai, Stormzy, and Central Cee, and his compatriot, Ayra Starr to clinch the award.
With his victory, Burna Boy extended his record as the most awarded person in the BET Awards’ “Best International Act” category (4).
Track news recalls that Burna Boy won the award for three consecutive years (2019, 2020 and 2021).
Since the creation of the BET Awards’ “Best International Act” in 2018, the category has been exclusively won by Nigerians, with Davido being the maiden winner.
Rising Nigerian music star, Tems won the “Best International Act” last year.
