BREAKING: (Bayelsa Guber) Diri Floors Sylva At Supreme Court

ABUJA – The Supreme Court has affirmed the re-election of Bayelsa State governor, Duoye Diri as the validly elected governor of the State.
This followed the dismissal of the appeal by Timipre Sylva, of the All Progressives Congress, who had challenged the out come of the November 11, 2023, off-cycle election in the State.
Delivering judgment on Sylva’s appeal, a 5-man panel of the Supreme Court, led by Justice Lawal Garba, affirmed the Court of Appeal decision of July 18, which dismissed Sylva’s appeal as an abuse of Court process for filing two notices of appeal.
