Breaking: Buhari, George Weah hold bilateral talk inside Aso Rock

TRACKING>>President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, June 13, met behind closed doors the visiting Liberian president, George Weah, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Liberian leader arrived the fore court of the presidential villa at about 11.35am and was received by the president.
NAN reliably learnt that the two leaders would discuss regional and continental issues.
The Liberian leader, who is currently facing socio-political challenges at home, had on Wednesday, June 12, witnessed Nigeria’s Democracy Day event held at the Eagle Square.
Earlier, tracknews.ng reported that thousands of Liberians protested against alleged failures to tackle corruption, economic mismanagement and injustice under President Weah.
More than 5,000 people turned out in Monrovia, Liberia’s capital, despite the rain for what witnesses described as one of the city’s biggest protests in living memory.
Weah has been in power for less than 18 months. He took over from Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, a Nobel peace prize laureate who won great acclaim but was accused of nepotism.
