The Federal High Court, Yenagoa Division has ruled in favour of Senator Degi Eremienyo (the current chairman Senate Committee on Host Communities Producing Oil And Gas) as eligible to re-contest the 2023 general elections and the authentic candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC for the Bayelsa East Senatorial District for the 2023 polls.
Honourable Justice Isa Dashen of the Federal High Court, Yenagoa Division in his ruling describes the submissions and prayers by Sodaguo Omoni, an aspirant for the 2022 Bayelsa East Senatorial District primary of the APC as lacking in merit and be disregarded.
Speaking to news men shortly after the landmark Judgement in Yenagoa counsel to distingushed Senato Degi, Barrister Leke Kehinde describes the judgement as victory for democracy and major contribution to the nation’s legal jurisprudence.
Distingushed Senator Degi while reacting to the judgement at his Abuja residences, appreciates the support he received from his party, the APC and called on all to work closely to ensure victory for the party come 2023.
