Breaking: INEC Announces New Dates For 2023 Elections, Releases Election Guidelines

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced new dates for the conduct of the 2023 general elections in Nigeria.
INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu who announced the change during a press conference in Abuja on Saturday said the new dates became necessary as a result of the 2022 amended electoral act recently signed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
TrackNews reports according to what the INEC Chairman said that the Presidential and National Assembly elections will now hold on Saturday, February 25, 2023, instead of the earlier announced February 18 date.
Also, the governorship and state houses of assembly elections will hold on March 11, 2023.
The INEC boss also announced that between Monday 4th April 2022 to Friday 3rd June 2022, political parties are to conduct primary elections and resolve all disputes arising from them.
